Holiday Chic
I have said it before and it bears repeating—there is nothing chic about gimmicky holiday sweaters. Please reserve these for children’s holiday parties! They are not a good choice for any other event.
Black Tie (Optional): For her, you can wear a long formal or semi-formal dress
Cocktail Attire: Traditional cocktail attire is a jacket and tie for the guys and semi-formal attire for ladies.
Festive: This requires a little more investigation. If the location is at a public place, go for a semi-formal look with something that makes it a little on the “funky” side. If the location is at someone’s home, festive could mean a sparkly top and jeans. The point is they want you to look like you are going to a party—not semi-formal, but beyond business casual please.
